While being on these sites is fun and all, did you know that you can use the popularity of a site like Facebook to your advantage? Big companies and organizations such as Starbucks, Dell, Old Spice, and Victoria’s Secret have successfully promoted their brand through this relatively new media forum, and you too can do the same. The key to making this method work is consistency. If you own a restaurant for example, and have a Facebook fan page of your business, it’s a must to regularly share your promotions and whatnot. And once you have a following, all it takes to keep them interested is genuine interaction, both with you and with their fellow fans.
